What's Your Favorite Concession?
We did an online survey asking...

What's your favorite concession stand food?

I am looking for new ideas. I would like to offer a different variety of foods at our concession stand this year. Please tell me, whats your favorite thing that they sell at ball games?

Of course we already have the obvious things like hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, chicken fingers, popcorn, etc.
Here you go, these are not in any order.
  • Deep fried pickles...mmmm. Honestly, that are great. The salty batter with the dill pickle is a unique combination and very good. My fiance and I just had some in Boston and when we came home we hunted down a restaurant that had these.
  • Anything deep fried and smothered in chocolate. You can also always try fruit and veggie bowls for the health conscious eaters who shun the anything deep fried and smothered in chocolate plan. I indulge at games cause it just seems to taste better sitting there with the masses cheering on the team.
  • how about grilled cheese. all you need is a grill some bread and cheese.
  • Snow Cones my kids love them.
  • Something very hot during football season(the weather is cold) Chili. Something odd deep fried Oreos. In Indiana they dip Oreos in funnel cake batter and deep fry them. they taste like a hot creamy chocolate eclair.
  • COTTON CANDY
  • Oh yeah ♥cotton candy♥
  • A big seller in my area is the walking taco. It is a small bag of fritos corn chips with taco meat, lettuce, cheese, tomato, all served in the bag. Put the sour cream and salsa out like any condiment, and be sure to give out a fork. The small individual bag is used. Thus the walking taco!!! Enjoy!!!
  • suggestions:
    A&W root beer float
    pizza slice
    frito pie
  • carmel candy apples
  • My park sells sliced apples with warm caramel poured over the top.  I like the more healthy foods.
  • Nachos with chili
  • Chicken,
    Chili dogs.
    cotton candy.
    baked potatoes.
  • the cheapest so i guess that means popcorn
  • buy a deep fryer and just deep fry anything you guys can get your hands on. people LOVE that stuff. it's a huge hit in this store in brooklyn. but most ppl would love to eat fried dough i think because it's something you can usually only get at carnivals/amusement parks. and besides you can use it to deep fry other things, like twinkies! they seriously do that!
  • My fave concession stand food is PICKLES Yum what good stuff is that!!
  • clean grease in the fryer...funnel cake batter...dip snickers or twinkies in the batter & fry till golden......maybe serve with frosting dip...if not , the fried treat will be very pleasing!!....look up a funnel cake recipe....very simple & all you need is basic ingredients & some powdred sugar & 1 or 2 fruit pie fillings for topping...cherry , blueberry....apple...whatever....good luck !
  • Hello:

My daughter just had a school carnival last night and these were the top selling concession stand foods:

    1.Popcorn
    2.Nachos
    3.Pizza
    4.Cotton Candy
    5.Caramel Apples
6.Elephant Ears (Deep fried batter sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar after it comes out of the fryer and is drained off on a paper towel.)
    7.Chips
    8.Candy
    9.Pop,Juice,Kool-Aid,Water,etc...
10.Chicken Nuggets,Corn Dogs, and any other finger food item that is quick and easy to eat!

I hope that this has been helpful for you and good luck!!
  • OK....try selling different bevrages like fruit smoothies. Many health-freaks would luv this!! lol
  • Hot Dogs! Nachos! Pizza! Fries w/ Vinegar!

Yep - love those from the games!
  • Pretzels!
  • Nashvilles famous pork barbecue mucho nachos.. $15.00 a serving and worth every penny...
  • Hot dogs or popcorn. Maybe one of those giant pretzels with mustard. Oh, and a couple cold beers. Here's five, keep the change kid.
  • slurpee..
    hands down
  • Soft pretzel and boiled peanuts!
  • Well, I usually eat before or after the games.
But I'd have to say a soft pretzel
  • french fries and pop corn
    add- and Dippin' Dots
  • Being a vegetarian, I'll stick to cotton candy and ice cream!
  • Nachos with jalapenos and those soft pretzels.
  • Sunflower seeds
It’s always fun when you can make competitions out of what you are eating.  If they can have competitive eating events, why have they not done anything with spitting seeds?  Or have they?  If you’re playing baseball, you may as well have 3000% of your daily salt content simultaneously.
  • Nacho's Some things just never change.  This is where you first learned of the value of hook-ups at various establishments, because if you knew the guy working there, you could get 45 ounces of cheese with your chips.
  • Popcorn with lots of butter.
  • Frozen smoothie.
  • Funnel cakes, we love these when they are fresh made.
  • We use the little bags of Fritos. They work great too! We always do walking tacos and they are always our biggest seller. Since you have all of the ingredients, you can also let them upgrade their nachos for more money and put some of the same stuff on them.
  • Popcorn is full of fiber and is a good snack choice. The smell draws a crowd while its popping!
  • Try apples with caramel. They are a big hit at our basketball concession stand.
  • mmm... roasted corn!
  • Corndogs! I think corndogs should be the next big food trend in 2007.
  • i second that. love corndogs. made some for our Superbowl party.
  • I love the kettle corn. Sweet and salty...I always buy extras to bring home with me. You just can't duplicate that stuff at home. Every year my aunt makes a million homeade apple pies and sells them at our local fair, while its not traditional fair food, its a tradition here in town, they are so incredibly good...

  • Of course hand dipped corndogs! Is there really anything else better?

  • Roasted corn on the cob on a stick, slathered in melted butter and dusted with your choice of seasonings. Oh, and those huge turkey legs. Between the two, prepare to soak up a half-dozen napkins!

  • Kettlecorn, elephant ears, funnel cakes and deep fried dill pickles. Oh, and lemon shake ups and tacos from the local Mexican families. Carnival food rocks, thank goodness it is only around a few months of the year in our area. And no, I don't weigh 300 pounds but I probably should.....

  • gyros, funnel cakes, lemonade, and onion blossoms. Oh! And caramel apples, french fries, and cotton candy.

  • Yes to the Corn dog! with mustard!

  • Funnel cake and vanilla softserve.

  • Funnel cakes for sure, but when I was a kid we traveled north to the MA state fair and they had Fried Dough, oh how good... I wish I could get it locally in NJ.

  • funnel cakes, deep fried candy bars, deep fried oreos' deep fried coke, corn dogs
popcorn, spiral potatos, cheese fries, nachos, pork chop sandwiches
polish sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, frozen lemonade, ice cream
cotton candy, snow cones, footlong corndogs, footlong hot dogs
    smoothies, slushies, chocolate covered banana
chocolate covered strawberries, onion blossom, fried cheese stick
    jalapeno poppers, chili, soft pretzels
    candy apples, caramel apples.

  • Cotton Candy
    Candy Bars
    Popcorn
    Corn Dogs
    Candy Apples
    Soft Pretzels

  • Fried twinkies and Fried snickers
    Funnel cakes
Hot dogs the size of your head
    turkey legs
and everything else that causes heart attacks

    YUMMY!
